UOS Handles Multiple Devices and Multiple Protocols

This example shows multiple devices connected
to comm port 1. Also, each device uses a different protocol. This advanced capability is
supported by UOS, however there are certain conditions that must apply before you can use
it. 1) The I/O network signal interface must be multi-drop. i.e. RS-422 or RS-485. 2)
Protocol A devices must not respond to Protocol B device messages and vise versa. If these
two conditions cannot be met you must configure a different protocol for each comm port
(or channel). |
